This is a disingenuous attempt commonly used by the left-wing in the U.S to make it seem that the U.S is more right-wing then what it really is. This entire argument falls apart when it is confronted with the real world.
First of all, the world is not Europe. Europe is a leftist bubble in a world that is very conservative. If anything, the U.S is way more normal by global standards.
Secondly, the U.S is much more liberal compared to most of the world on social issues. Latin-America, Africa, East Asia, India, Eastern Europe, and the Arab World in particular are all very much to the right of the U.S when it comes to minority rights, individual liberty, the importance of tradition, religious dominance, and the overall implementation of enlightenment ideals in their societies.
Third, a love of capitalism doesn't make America a right-wing extremist country. It makes America a much more economically prosperous place to live. We don't want to be taxed to the point where a $40,000 a year salary makes you homeless. California and the rest of the political left can keep their disasterous economic policies to themselves.
