The brain inflammation and the astrocyte insulin resistance hypothesis are both supported by the country of Turkey. Turkey has the highest age-adjusted rate of alzheimers in the world and they are also the nation with the highest rate of bread consumption. A diet high in bread leads to increase insulin resistance and higher levels of inflammation in the brain.

As this article suggests, I lean toward the brain inflammation hypothesis but I wouldn't be surprised if insulin-resistance was also a cause. I read an article that said the characteristics between Alzheimers and diabetes were so similiar, that many scientist were comfortable with refering to Alzheimers as type III diabetes - https://bigthink.com/surprising-science/alzheimers-is-type-3-diabetes/

The reason why I proposed a treatment plan in the article is that I find it extremely likely that such a plan would meaningfully reverse neurodegenerative decay. I also wish to spread this idea so that a scientist will read this article and take the initiative to conduct a study proving its efficacy. I've lost loved ones to Alzheimers and I don't want to continue living in a world where other people have to suffer from its cruel effects.

Btw: If you are interested a very persuasive brain inflammation article, I'd highly recommend reading this piece published in Scientific American - https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/for-alzheimers-sufferers-brain-inflammation-ignites-a-neuron-killing-forest-fire/
